Privacy and terms
Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and nothing sold. Visits are counted without cookies and without knowing who you are. Here is exactly what goes where. Last updated October 31, 2026.
Who is responsible
Skridtvis is run by WLWYB Global Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (WLWYB Global Kft.), 1027 Budapest, Tölgyfa utca 24., Hungary, company registration number 01-09-342012, the controller of the data described here. For anything about your data, write to wlwyb@wlwyb.com. The full company details are in the imprint.
On your device
- Your build progress, which step you are on, and settings like the voice, saved in your browser's local storage.
- Your own Together AI key, if you add one. Every AI feature runs on it, so it is sent with those requests and used for them only. It is never stored or logged on our side.
- Sets, pieces and voice clips you have opened, kept by the browser so a guide works offline.
Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes all of it.
What reaches our server
- Questions and photos you send from the help panel, and photos of a box you search with. Photos are resized in your browser first, which also removes location data.
- The text of a voice line that has no recording yet, to record it.
- While the voice is on, short bits of sound from your mic each time someone talks, so it can hear you say “next”. They are turned into text, and Skridtvis keeps neither.
- Feedback you send, from the Feedback button or “This step doesn't match my pieces”: what you write, the set and step you were on, and your browser and device type (“Safari on iPhone”). An email address goes with it only if you type one, so we can reply. It is kept in our host's server logs, which expire on their own.
- Your IP address, held in memory for a few minutes to stop abuse, then dropped.
Searching for a set happens in your browser and sends nothing.
Counting visits
- Each page you open, each link you follow to another site, and a few moments: starting, resuming and finishing a build, turning the model, opening help, sending feedback, sharing, turning the voice on, searching and whether it found anything, choosing a theme, adding the site to your home screen, and landing on a page that does not exist.
- With each: the page address, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and type of device, and your country, worked out from your IP address. The IP address itself is not kept.
- No cookie and nothing else is stored on your device for it, and visitors cannot be followed from one day to the next or across sites.
- Counted by Plausible Analytics, through this site's own address. We use it, as is our legitimate interest, to see which guides are used and where they fail.
Who else sees it
- Together AI (United States) turns questions and photos into answers, records voice lines, and turns what the mic hears into text, all on your own key. See their privacy policy.
- Plausible Insights (Estonia, data kept in the EU) counts visits as described above. See their privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the site. Like any host it sees each request: the page, your IP address and your browser. See their privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted; you can object to it being used, and ask for it to be limited. Write to wlwyb@wlwyb.com. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority, NAIH, or to the authority where you live.
Terms of use
- Skridtvis is free and comes as it is, with no warranty. The guides are drawn from fan-made models, not the LEGO Group's instructions, so check each step against your own pieces and the booklet in the box.
- LEGO sets have small pieces. Keep them away from small children.
- Skridtvis is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, used here only to say which set a guide is for.
- Each model comes from the LDraw Official Model Repository and is shared by its modeller under a Creative Commons Attribution licence. The modeller is named on the set's guide. See the credits.
